The same happened to me in Oregon. Though they have all immigration information about me the person is not able to see/understand and asked me to come after 10days.
Normally they take 5-6 days if they are really expecting some info.
Try calling after few days and check with different officer. Not all of the DMV staff are trained to understand all aspects of immigration.

Yes forwarded the copy to the lawyer this morning.I have an appointment with lawyer Friday morning regarding this..So for lawyer office didn't received anything from uscis.
Here is my backround
1)Worked for Company A from 2003 to 2008.
2)Company A applied I-140 and approved April 2006. AOS 485 filed on July 2007. Got EAD but never used it
3)September 2008 I have Joined employer “B” by transferring H1B (Valid until Aug 21st 2010).
4)Employer A revoked 140 which triggered 485 denials in October 2008.
5)Applied MTR and it was approved in NOVEMBER 2008 and 485 re-opened.
This is the only major concern I have.Though I have approved MTR and 485 re-opened, but my online status of 485 still showing denied.
My AP approved last month.......my wife EAD,AP approved last month.I am the primary..strange
I know I have moderate control over this situation.Just having good faith & hope.This whole thing H1-B,DL,GC,EAD,AP & visa stamping ..etc what a pain for some people.Very sad.For uscis error(485 denial wrongly) I am not only lost money( closee to 5k) also lost "n" no of days of sleep back in 2008 and now :mad:

Anotehr question in thsi regard, say ur I-94 expired and you applied for and got h1 renewal, and the new I-797 has the new I-94 in it, so we cut it from there and staple it to our passports ???
And when we leave the country we surrender both the I-94s ???

I take it the program you applied for is not in the NRMP match and/or you are given a pre-match.
In any case if you want the program you desire and you are fortunate to have the EAD in hand ...what should stop you ! In my opinion just use the EAD and make the best.
I am using AC21 and my spouse is also going in for fellowship. We did not blink a moment to make the best out of the EAD.
So go for it ! (after consulting a reputable attorney if that would make you feel better)

Why not let people apply 485/140 concurrently even if their PDs are not current?.
All of us who were stuck know what a relief it is to have EAD in hand. Also non-IT spouses can work if they get their EAD.
Not that everybody would listen but I would say that it will be good if they allow concurrent filing even if the PD is not current and process the cases when PD becomes current.

I think it would be best if they allow us to apply for 485 regardless of priority date once 140 is approved .
140 may take a year but atleast you know you can file 485 in a year , with priority date rule you never know when you can apply

While the poll can only show what we would want if we had our way, I would request our members to step back give it a thought and be a bit realistic. Did we not have only legal immigration issues in the bill last December. Why do you then hope that the house would suddenly change their mind and provide us a superfast ride to a green card.
A poll like this one would show the similar lopsided numbers like say what Lou Dobbs gets on his polls. Reason is - mostly people who want a more reasonable wait time for permanent residence subscribe to this forum.
I myself would vote to have a bill separately for us. But does that do us any good. Think about this. The current bill has good provisions for legal immigrants. Which of the two options would you choose.
(a) Would you want to oppose and kill this legislation because it provides undocumented workers with an opportunity to become legal and thereby cut your nose to spite your face.
(b) Would you first see the current bill to the end and then consider other options only if it dies.

I agree. UnitedNations has been tirelessly providing inputs to a lot of GC cases especially the 3 year degree issues on http://www.immigration.com. His vast knowledge in these areas can surely serve as a valuable knowledge base for potential and current GC applicants. I have been following his posts on http://www.immigratio.com for around 2 years now and his inputs has benefited me in take proactive measures for my employment based GC appliction. Hope we can continue giving his valuable advice on this forum too.

I have also applied for the canadian PR 1.5 months ago. Yesterday I got a letter from canadian consulate to sit for IELTS as I am clamming 16 points on language skill with supporting documents. Now, I do not want to sit for IELTS..is there any way out? Do you guys know any small consulting firm in canada who can give me a HRSDC approved job offer? I will not mind to work for them for a year if I get my PR (it's better then waiting for GC for another 10 years)...

Do you have a middle layer (preferred vendor)? Does your employer have other working on the client site? In either case the employer faces serious possiblity of losing businesss in the future.
Talk to your client manager and I can assure you that no court will hold your employer's reasoning as valid.
What state are you in? In NJ your employer is not even considered an employer but an employmend agency so no non compete holds...
