Even if the amount is just $4000, if he win the case you will have to pay his lawyer fee too. I would suggest you to resolve this by giving the actual reason. He cannot bind her to the job for 4 years.

The one with the red roses is a bit too shallow depth of field, both in the first one and the one posted later. It looks like you focused on the central/foreground rose, and the one at the back looks just a little bit too much (or too little) out of focus to me. I know it's not easy to do these things...

She brought a couple of Japanese catalogs as examples of these sorts of preserved flower arrangements, and they all tended to a shallow DoF, overexposed, soft look. I had a problem with my wifes AP- they had not acted on it for 4 months I asked them to expedite it since we wanted to visit my father in law who was hospitalized for a medical condition- they did not respond to that request so I contacted my Senators office and asked if they could assist in this matter. They asked me for some medical documentation and faxed it to USCIS.. I noticed yesterday that her online status had changed to document mailed..we are still to get it but are optimistic that we should receive it soon.
In the absence of any compelling circumstances though I am not sure how it would work. but I would definitely recommend contacting your Senators office.

By now its almost evident that the CR's for retrogression, per country limit. and STEM related degrees are actually are not going anywhere. Understandably it was CHC (Congressional Hispanic Caucus) and republican leadership that blocked the road to legal immigration relief.
Its almost beyond my analytical power to find out why CHC blocked our way? CHC treated us as hostages to get their demands. They were successful with their threat that either it will be amnesty to illegals or absolutely nothing.
So this though struck my mind: what is our stand as far as illegal immigration is concerned. Even though we may not support/recommend further illegal immigration, what is our stand on granting amnesty to illegals already living in this country.
So do we:
1. Completely oppose amnesty to illegals immigrants currently living in USA
2. Support amnesty to illegals immigrants currently living in USA
3. Support amnesty to illegals immigrants currently living in USA, as long as they do not stand ahead of legal immigrants in the queue.
4. Support amnesty to illegals immigrants currently living in USA, if CHC and other similar organizations support us for our much sought immigration reforms.
5. Only support Guest Worker Program type of thing, which allows people to enter on work visas and further backlog the employment based GC queues.
Is it going to help us if we shake hands with CHC and other similar organizations, if they support us? I mean if we can't defeat them why don't we join forces with them to get what we want. Thanks for your prompt reply. The situation it seems is more precarious than I thought. She's carrying the official letter from her company that describes her B-1 duties (like requirement gathering, project transition, business meetings etc).
Would you suggest any other measure? I want to make sure she's not denied entry. It'll be terrible if anything of that sort happens especially with no fault of hers.
If she's denied entry, who'll be responsible for sending her back to India? Will CBP make arrangements? Will she be bar entry to US again?

Whether she is is ultimately admitted to the US or denied admission and sent back home really depends on several factors. First, can your sister persuasively demonstrate that she has strong ties to her home in India, to which she intends to return at the conclusion of her business trip? Next, can she document that she will be engaged in permissible B-1 activities of limited duration? And finally, on what side of the bed did the CBE officer wake up?

Here is my honest opinion.... you guys need to highlight the fact that IV is equlally concerned about PBEC issue. This is what i have heard and read from a lot of folks... Just to let u guys know that even my app is stuck with PBEC..
The main goal of IV is to bring an end to labor processing delay in the backlog center and I-485 retrogression. We have consistently mentioned this in all possible forums. This has been clearly mentioned on home page. And if there is anybody who has any doubt, could you please request them to please call at (281) 576-7185.
I am beginning to realize that for some people who do not want to contribute, there will always be plenty of reasons and plenty of excuses not to participate & contribute. I think these people are the once who are actually responsible for the problems of all of us. Our problems do not originate in the slow GC process or the existing bad legislation. Our problems originate due to the people who are always looking for reasons to not participate or do anything or these people who are always looking for reasons to feel offended. And these people are sure doing a wonderful job because there will always be plenty of reasons to feel offended or not feel part of the group or not find enough motivation to feel part of the bigger community.
Asking questions or requesting a specific item in the goals is one thing. People beating the drum of transparency �. That is no big deal either. Everybody is entitled for their opinion. But people watching from the sidelines or for the people who want to include agenda as Goals of the IV or for the people putting conditions to their contributions, here is what I have to say to you. I would sincerely request you to never visit Immigration Voice or any other immigration related forum or website. You guys are the real problem because you are the once helping to foster the current system by not participating in brining the change. At the end of the day, know that you are the real culprits not the system which will be shaped by the contribution of each of us.
In last 2 weeks the contributions has really come down drastically. Everybody please note that we are running very low on the funds collection. All of us have two choices. One, contribute for this cause generously and lead the friends and acquaintances by example and tell them to do the same. Secondly, find reasons to not participate or not to contribute due to this, that or whatever �. The choice is entirely yours. But with your choice also understand whether you are being part of the solution or part of the problem. And whatever you do (including posting negative messages), I would sincerely request everybody to ask yourself one question, whether you (or your post) are strengthening or weakening this effort.
I would like to request all the members who have not yet contributed to please contribute generously. Please put your money where your mouth is. This effort or any similar effort for that matter cannot do much without the necessary funds that only come in the form of contributions from its members. And for those of us who have already contributed in the past, its time to please contribute more and help to fuel this effort.
This is not just about the life of the people who started this effort or the core/active members who have taken the initiative and responsibility. This is about all of us whether or not you feel part of it or not. It doesn�t make any difference how you feel about the situation or state of affairs. Why? Because this will be over very soon. And for the people who want to continue to ponder over this idea of whether or not they have a sense of belonging to IV, I would sincerely request you to please understand and know that by any contribution to this effort, you are strengthening your our voices. There are some good and bad things.. If labor substitution is gone, less chances of fraud, most of backlogged labors go waste, which obviously reduces the retorgression. bad thing is 45 days rule, DOL itself cannot make out where the hell is the labor application, when they approved it and when they mailed it, how can they say that you need to apply for 140 with in 45 days :mad:

IMHO, do not sacrifice the career (either yours or your wife's) for the sake of GC .... the amount of money and experience that you stand to lose by not progressing in the career is very difficult to recoup after you get your GC. In this economy, more experience you gather, better will be your chances of securing a higher position and income. I always chose career over GC ... which delayed my GC by about 5 years, but the extra income and experience have more than made up for it ...
The good news is that you have an approved I-140, so you have a priority date that you can always use irrespective of type of application and/or sponsor (which means, you can file for a new I-140 based on your new job but with the old priority date). Do ask your new employer if they are open to file in EB-2 within one year of your employment based on your performance on the job.
The fall back option in terms of your wife's career is dicey to count on in this economy, IMHO. Your H1-B is a better fallback option while your GC is pending....just my 2-cents! Good luck! :)

1) You need to be present in US at time of applying for the extension and when its approved. In your case I think with travel coming up in June, you probably need to go premium so you have approval in hand my April end. Regular processing takes about 2-3 months I think.
2) You can only go 90 days in advance of your new/extended approval as far as I know. So you need to see if that matches when you plan to go for stamping.
If in similar situation I would probably do what you are planning. It adds some anxiety with both wedding and consulate visit at same time, but once past that it will make life little easier.

The numbers were not too much as the expectation was much more as last 2 years cap was reached and expected to file more persons. If H1b is filed based on real job requirements the cap must be enough.

First we need to make sure all BEC cases from 2001-2003 are processed. Then only we can speculate on EB2 India 2004. When USCIS publishes end-of-year stats for 2007, we will know more about the situation.
